Premium SONOR Primary Construction

The Primary Series reflects SONOR's commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, acoustical performance, and environmental responsibility. The redesigned resonator box has been carefully engineered to produce greater resonance, improved sustain, and a beautifully balanced tone throughout the instrument's range.

Each of the 16 special alloy bars is precision tuned by hand to A440. SONOR applies overtone tuning in the lower register and fundamental tuning in the upper register, creating excellent intonation and a remarkably even tonal response across the instrument.

The resonator box is constructed from FSC®-certified cross-laminated birch plywood with fully glued seams rather than screws, producing a stronger, more acoustically efficient sound chamber. Reinforced end plates improve durability during transportation, while flexible rubber mounting pins make removing or replacing bars simple.
