Dot & the Kangaroo JR. is an adventurous Broadway Junior musical based on the classic 1899 Australian children’s novel. With a libretto by Daniel Stoddart, music by Daniel Mertzlufft, and lyrics by Kate Leonard, this 60-minute musical leads audiences into the heart, humor, and wonder of the Australian bush.

Young and spirited Dot longs for adventure beyond her everyday life. But when she becomes lost and frightened in the darkening Australian wilderness, she meets a wise and nurturing mother Kangaroo who helps her find the courage to keep going.

As Dot and Mrs. Kangaroo journey through the bush, they encounter a colorful world of Australian animals, quirky characters, and unforgettable lessons about bravery, friendship, family, and finding your way home.
